Powers Resource Center CEO Chosen as Keynote Speaker for
Women Leaders in Gaming Summit for Second Consecutive Year
Boulder, Colo., April 9, 2018 – Tara Powers, CEO of Powers Resource Center, a Boulder-based employee engagement, talent development and leadership training company, is proud to announce that she is a ‘2018 Woman to Watch’ in the current issue of ColoradoBiz Magazine. The top Colorado women in business will be honored at a networking event from 5-8 p.m., on Thursday, June 21 at The Studios at Overland Crossing in Denver.
The event, which is sponsored by the Iowa Gaming Association (IGA), supports the rising numbers of women in leadership roles in the gaming industry. It is the 5th year of the event and the 2nd consecutive year that Powers has been the keynote speaker.
“I am so honored to be returning as the keynote speaker for the Iowa Gaming Association, it was a huge success last year,” said Powers. “It’s an honor to be a part of this event and continue to celebrate and encourage gender equity in the gaming and casino industry.”
Powers will speak about intent vs. impact, and participants will get a chance to share their own personal stories, discover their “rock star” qualities and the impacts they are noticing on their team. Attendees will walk away knowing how to leverage this process to build stronger relationships on their own teams. According to the IGA, women make up 53.5 percent of the total gaming workforce and 40.3 percent of supervisor/managers. Women hold 30.3 percent of the senior/executive level positions in gaming, far above the national average for all industries.
