New Manager Training Program

12 week LIVE, virtual program led by an PRC senior facilitator and executive coach. Combines both online and collaborative learning as well as social interaction.

Being promoted to manager for the first time is both exhilarating and challenging. Transitioning into this new role means mastering a new skill set and our new manager training program, Virtual Leadership Boot Camp, will teach you the skills to make a smooth and highly successful transition to your new role.


This program is a 12-week virtual program that incorporates skill-building and experiential leadership workshops, insightful book reads, powerful self-assessment tools, company case studies, group coaching sessions, online progress measurement, and presentations by your subject matter experts. The program will conclude with a graduation ceremony with success stories and “wins” shared by participants and their managers.


The goal of the new manager training program is to provide your future leaders with the tools, resources, and experiences that will position them for success.

New managers will learn the best practices and techniques that provide new leaders with tools to thrive and do the best work of their lives. This new manager training program includes focus on the following topics:

  • Understand the role of vision and values and what it means to live the values out loud in your day-to-day relationships
  • Understand key expectations of the new manager
  • Moving from Bud to Boss – gaining respect as the new manager
  • Managing your productivity
  • The importance of EQ (emotional intelligence)
  • Managing the Talent Development Process including:
    • Hiring great talent
    • Collaborative goal setting
    • Communicating expectations and intentions
    • Having effective and empowering 1 on 1’s
    • Directing and delegating
    • Building a feedback culture
    • The manager as coach
  • Managing team performance
  • Building team engagement and trust using The Five Behaviors Model
  • Understanding the progress principle
  • Fostering a recognition culture on your team

The program culminates with a graduation ceremony that includes a high-level review of program topics and how new leaders are applying them day to day as well as graduation celebration.
